Pastor Tony Jr. is the current senior pastor of Calvary Chapel West Covina. He has been serving in the church through various ministries since its founding in 2007 and was ordained as a pastor in 2016.
His ambition is to help God’s people grow in a love for God and a love for others.
After receiving graduate degrees in theology and a doctorate in education, the opportunity to become a senior pastor came as a blessed surprise. He has thoroughly loved and enjoyed this season. However, this season is ending to start a new venture of faith. Starting October 19th, Pastor Tony Jr. will no longer be the senior pastor. With the Lord’s help and guidance, he will be moving with his wife and son to El Paso, Texas to start a Bible college. Why El Paso, Texas? Currently there are no Bible colleges in the area—for any denomination. He desires to use the knowledge and passion the Lord has given him to bring bible and ministry education where there currently is none.
He would gladly be a senior pastor again if God desires—knowing that God always fulfills the desires of our hearts as we delight in Him.
We appreciate your prayers through this transition and as Pastor Tony Jr. goes on to fulfill what he and his family feel called to do in this next chapter of a life lived for the Lord.
Pastor Andre Bribiesca is the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Arcadia. He has also been part of the New Beginnings church family for years now as a board member, of our Board of Elders for about 12 years. Aside from that, he has partnered with us for events, guest speaking on different occasions, and being a great friend and wise voice to the pastors and the ministry.
He has a big heart to see people know God’s grace and power in their lives today.
He and his wife came to faith in 1992 at Calvary Chapel West Covina with Raul Ries (before CC West Covina moved to Diamond Bar). He served in various capacities at both CC West Covina and later at CC Montebello. Then, God called him to plant a church in 2010--where he has been serving as the senior pastor for the past 15 years.
Now, everything is coming full circle. The city where he first believed and grew in the faith is now the city he will be serving as senior pastor of Calvary Chapel West Covina.
Pastor Tony Jr will remain the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel West Covina until October 19th, teaching from Romans on Sunday mornings. Pastor Andre will be teaching on Wednesday evenings.
Starting October 19th, Pastor Andre will become the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel West Covina and teach on Sunday mornings. At that time, pastor Tony Jr. will be an associate pastor at Calvary Chapel West Covina, teaching on Wednesday evenings.
Pastor Tony Jr. will remain an associate pastor until May 2026. Afterwards, he and his family will leave to El Paso, Texas to start a Bible college.
We look forward to the work God will do as Calvary Chapel Arcadia joins Calvary Chapel West Covina through this transition.
